Outdoor Family Class – Winter Survival Skills

December 2, 2017

How do animals survive in winter?  What can people do to stay warm on outdoor adventures?  Join us for a family workshop to learn about winter survival and how to enjoy yourself in nature even when the temperature drops.  Mike Stein, Outdoor Educator, National Outdoor Leadership School, P.E. teacher and father of two will teach us strategies and games for making the most of the winter weather.

The class is for ages 3 to 8+ and their families on December 2nd from 9:30-11:30 at Heritage Park in Blacksburg. The class is FREE, but registration is required. To save your spot, email youthoutreach@newriverlandtrust.org.
