Conserving Land in the New River Region

The New River Land Trust works to protect farmland, forests, open spaces and historic places. Our focus is on the eight county area below - the New River region.

We educate and assist landowners to conserve their land by voluntarily donating conservation easements on their property; keeping family farms in agriculture, forests and open spaces as they are, and historic places preserved - forever. We also work with partners, including local governments, on larger land policy and conservation issues. Since 2002, we have conserved 50,000 acres and over 25 miles of New River frontage. We also connect kids to the outdoors through our Youth Outreach program, reaching out to the next generation of conservationists.

We hope you'll become a member today and help us to conserve the places that make this region a special place to live, work and visit.
