More Acres + More Trails! This week, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation awarded a $210,000 grant to the Town of Blacksburg Government. The funds will help NRLT purchase and protect 208 acres of richly biodiverse forest habitat that will be added to the Brush Mountain Park system.
With this third property, we’ll add another 6 miles of multi-use trails to the park – for a future total of 617 acres of new public parkland and 18 miles of trails!
Thanks to the Town for submitting this proposal, making this project one of thirty funded by Virginia Land Conservation Foundation grants across the commonwealth.
