Third Property Near Mountain Lake Conserved

525 acres are now forever protected in Giles County!

The Marshall property is above Cascade Falls on Little Stony Creek and near the Mountain Lake wilderness and the Appalachian Trail.

The property is the 3rd in the area to be conserved since 2018. This conservation reflects a long-term effort with partners Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Virginia Department of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service Forest Legacy Program.

The easements adjoin 60,000 acres of conserved land. Conservation of a 4th property is in the works.
