YOUTH OUTREACH
Our youth outreach program inspires students to value their natural surroundings and fosters responsibility and stewardship of farmland, forests, and watersheds.
Our educational outreach is rooted in a place–based approach and focuses on four areas: Conservation Connections in Cultural Heritage, Local Food and Farm-to-Table Initiatives, Water Quality and Habitat Diversity, and Nature Play and Environmental Appreciation.
Our outreach provide area youth with opportunities like:
Engaging in nature play and outdoor exploration at The Nature Play Space at Heritage Park
Learning about local watersheds and how to protect them through our Stream Field Trips
Summer Camps
Outdoor Family Classes
Go birding, catch insects, and explore stream habitats with our Outdoor Exploration Backpacks in your local library
