New NRLT Staff

Sarah McIntyre

Sarah joined the Land Trust in June as our office manager. She recently relocated to Blacksburg from Ohio, where she worked as an accountant and controller.

Sarah first discovered the Land Trust at our booth at Steppin’ Out in 2022.

She brings her financial and organizational skills to our conservation work and we’re glad to have her on board!

Moriah Owen is our new Youth Outreach intern. She is a rising senior studying forestry at Virginia Tech. She says, “My love for nature as a child has blossomed into my chosen career path of conservation. I thrive on learning about and developing new ways to protect and manage ecosystems and am passionate about sharing these ideas with landowners, stakeholders, and anyone interested! Some of my hobbies include identifying trees on walks, reading, and catching critters in streams.” 

Moriah will be collaborating on NRLT's student programs, as well as supporting conservation efforts throughout the New River Valley.
